Cinnamon has a long history dating back to ancient times. When it was first discovered, it was so highly valued that it was seen as a gift fit for the royals and even as an offering to deity. Its aromatic trait and high value made it a favorite spice during times of celebration, like the holidays. Because it is often used in cooking and baking during the holidays, it has become one of the known scents during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
