The Hot Air Balloons (ON SALE)
The hot air balloon was invented in the 18th century in France, but not very many know that its predecessor was actually a paper lantern that was used in China for military signaling. Today, hot air balloons come in many shapes and sizes, ranging from the usual inverted tear drop shape to something that resembles a cathedral. No matter the size and shape though, hot air balloons are known to have three basic elements: the envelope (the bag that holds the hot air), a source of heat (usually an open flame from liquid propane), and a basket. The candle carousel contains four gold hot air balloon ornaments that come to life when a source of heat is placed under it.
The metal base is flat (rounded-edge triangular shape) and can accommodate larger candle jars. Metal base also comes with padding to protect surface.
